This article gives a brief overview of the Dynamics tab within Outlook with the Outlook Connector installed.
With the Outlook Connector installed, a new tab will appear in the ribbon of Outlook.
This new ribbon allows you to add a new activity, such as an email or phone call, directly from Dynamics into LRM. Upon selecting the the activity type, a web wrapper will load from within Outlook which opens the creation of the activity in Dynamics.
Similarly, contacts and accounts can also be added directly from the Dynamics tab in Outlook. However, it is encouraged to search to make sure the contact or account does not already exist within the system to avoid duplicates. This can also be done in Dynamics, as discussed in this article.
