Log in to WordPress using your netID and a password you have set (note: this will be changing to SSO with your netID). If you don't know your password, request a web team member send you a password reset link.
In the left-hand menu, navigate to Events.
Click Add New.
Add the following items to your event:
The name of your event.
Add a description to your event in the large text box. You can style bold or italicize text. If it is a virtual event, add "This is a virtual event." to the description. Include a link to register here if applicable (e.g. Register now.)
If the description is longer than a few sentences, you can add headings to make it more scannable. To do this, highlight the heading text and select the text style (heading 2, heading 3, heading 4). You can also add a horizontal line to distinguish sections. Speaker bios and headshots can also be added here.

Organizer options:
Add your event registration URL.
Enter the cost for attending the event.
Do not use any tags. Use only categories.
Check categories on the right hand menu. Check for your category before adding it so you don't duplicate an entry. You can choose multiple categories.
Category options:
Add a large, high-quality image for your event. Be sure to test your image in the calendar to make sure it looks good.
Similar to creating an event, navigate to Events and choose yours from the list or use the search to find it.
