The WSB website directory displays information about current faculty, staff, and PHD students (PhD , and graduate )students. Each person has their own "profile page". Directory data automatically feeds in from a variety of databases. Information is not Workday or Watermark Faculty Success, and therefore data cannot be updated manually by the web team. The web team cannot change or edit Human Resources data; If you have an issue with your Workday data, you must submit an HR directory request and HR will work with you.
Name, job title, and department

Headshot photos are added by the web team. Schedule a headshot with Paul Newby, WSB's photographer. Paul will send the headshots to the web team and the web team will put them on the website-- you don't have to submit a separate web ticket. Photos must be taken by a professional photographer. Photos must be high quality and uncropped (photos smaller than 300px by 300px cannot be added).
Faculty expertise information

If your Watermark data isn't displaying on the directory and you believe it should, it's possible you are set as type "staff" instead of type "faculty" in the system. Reach out to Joanie Bonaza, Faculty Governance Admin, to ask to be switched to type "faculty" so your Watermark data pulls into the directory.

stories
If the Newsroom team writes an article about you, they will tag you in the article and it automatically pulls onto your directory profile page under "WSB Stories". This works for faculty or staff. Reach out to the writer of the article or the Communications director, Erin Ryan, if you think a tag was missed. (This is a new feature as of Fall 2024. Tags were retroactively added to some older articles, but not all, so if you want a tag on an older article reach out to the writer/Communications director.)

The department for PhD students pulls in from Watermark.
Graduate students
Graduate students feed in from a database managed by the graduate team.
Timing if you make a change
...
There is a faculty page within each department section of the website. For example, Marketing Faculty. These pages automatically pull faculty from the directory based on department. So the only way for someone to appear on the Marketing Faculty page is if their type is "faculty" and their department is "Marketing" in the directory. Submit an HR directory request to add or change your department. If you think you should appear as faculty and are appearing as staff, reach out to Joanie Bonazza, Faculty Governance Admin.
Note: only employees with Professor (or a variation like Associate Professor or Assistant Professor) are type = faculty. If you are Lecturer or Teaching Faculty or anything without a Professor position, you are type = staff and thus will not display on the department faculty page until you request it from Joanie.
Affiliated faculty/staff or emeritus faculty
The directory data feed only receives data for faculty/staff who have paid appointments with WSB in Workday. Affiliated and emeritus do not have paid appointments, therefore they do not display in the directory. However, if an individual affiliated or emeritus reaches out to be included in the directory, HR can add them manually. Affiliated and emeritus should submit an HR directory request.
School leadership page
The school leadership page is maintained manually by the web team because the groupings shown on that page do not exist in Workday (due to Workday's structure of supervisory orgs). All updates to this page must be approved by HR. Reach out to Azza Keuntjes, HR Director, if you have questions, and Azza should be tagged if a request comes in via web ticket.
